Update on J

Yesterday was the first day back at school after Christmas break. I talked with J for about 15 minutes. I asked him how his break was. He said it sucked, like life in general sucks. He said that while other people enjoy life, he doesn't. He said he was depressed and suicidal during break. I asked if he was serious; he said yes. I told an administrator. The faculty at our weekly meeting talked at length about him. His father is gone most of the time and he says he hates his mother. He seems to see all adults as the enemy. His parents refuse to have him seen by any kind of therapist. I pray that he will see that there are people who care about him. Mark |
