which was British TV's drama about gay men, 'warts and all' seems to suggest that a lot of the community is indifferent to the issue; the first episode has the main character(30) in bed with a 15 year old. Which is only just below the legal age, but is over that line, and noone in the gay community has anything negative to say - it's seen as the 15 year old's valid choice. Which of course raises the issue of what the proper age of consent is! |
