Time is Money. That's the philosophy we follow all to often.

In an age of instant world wide communication we are learning the wonders of having the ability to make use of every second, unfortunately we seem to believe that we are compelled to do this all the time.

The last Time I savoured a moment was in July. My grandfather has a large cottage in new Hampshire right on lake Winnapisakee (I think I misspelled it), the largest lake in New England. I go there pretty muc hevery summer, though not nearly as much as I used to when it was only a 3 hour drive while I was still in America.

Anyway, one day it was just me and my dad (most of the time he's in London working nowadays, his job is on the international branch so he sometimes comes home on weekends). I was driving our speedboat back to the house from getting some gas in it and we went to the middle of the lake (which is a HUGE lake) and we watched the sun setting. The sun setting on the Lake is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. It fills half of the sky with vibrant color, splashing the clouds with pink and orange, it's not too large a sun but not too small. Just right to truely make for the perfect scenic vista.

I can see it a million times and never lose appreciation for it. So we just sat there, watching the sun set, chatting about who-knows-what (I think we were discussion Catch-22, which I was in the process of reading at the time) and I realised right then that I didn't have a single worry on my mind at all.

Nothing mattered but the here and the now. When you realise that at the time (instead of looking back on the time and asking yourself how the hell you didn't appreciate it) it's a really great feeling.

Anyway, that's one of the only times when I could say I savoured the moment. It all had to do with naturew's glory and companionship with m father, as corny as that sounds it's one of the most satisfying experiances of my life.
