Seeing that people who suppress powerful emotions frequently are known to become violent, it would seem unhealthy for society to encourage suppression. I agree, and so did the Christian non-boylover members of my support group. In fact, it was because a close Christian friend of mine was concerned about my surpressing my sexuality that we formed the support group in the first place. I never felt that masturbation or fantasy were off limits. They did wonder about it, but realized that each of them [support group members] had fantasys they wouldn't want to share with anyone else. Paul encourages Christians to marry for similar reasons. I do not believe that God means for us to surpress our sexuality. We are, however, responsible to control and channel it in healthy ways-- which can be somewhat objective. Peace, Bach |
