Unfortunately I strongly disagree, though it will take me some time to provide a decent explanation of why I disagree; the simple answer however is that it is, as you admit, based on the Greek / Budhist world view, which at its roots is flawed, not least because it is based on an essentially passive or absent God. However the God whom we worship is intimately involved in the REAL world that HE has created, which is not an illusion, is fallen because of our first parents sin, but will one day come to an end when Jesus returns in glory to judge the living and the dead.

Having said all that - and I hope to return to the topic properly at another occaision - I agree that there are some helpful ideas in there. But to move the conversation forward for now - do you see God at work in your life and in others' lives? What do you see, and why is that happening? And, most fundamentally, why did Jesus die on the cross?
