In order to believe in a religion, I'd need a lot more than to watch how people live. People who subscribe to all manners of religions lead exemplary lives. I can think of Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Toaists and totally non-religious people for whom I have enormous amounts of respect and whose lives exemplify the sort of relatively selfless, productive, forward-pushing activities that humanity needs to better itself. No, in order to believe in a particular religion, I'd need to see objective evidence that its tenets are true. Jim |
