Life's full of ups and downs. If it seems that you've gotten more than your fair share of the downs, then perhaps you should decide whether or not the path that you're on is worth the effort.

Drugs are just a crutch. Something to lean on when you can't stand up for yourself. I'm not condemning you because you do drugs. I've done drugs (a lot of drugs) myself in the past. I've leaned on the drugs and the alcohol, anything that I felt would help me make it through the day...until the day came when I realized that the drugs were only a mask for the real problems. The problems that I didn't really want to face. Then I decided it was time to face the problems head-on, sober, and deal with them instead of covering them up in a drug-induced haze. I'd be lying to you if I said that all my problems were in the past, but still, facing them as I did, I came away a little stronger and more able to deal with the day-to-day problems in my life...and the ghosts of the past don't seem quite as intimidating anymore. If I was to hazard a guess, I would say that masking the problems with the drugs only made the problems "larger than life". The drugs didn't change anything. They just made it worse.

You mentioned that someone said you should "go to church and pray". Well, that's all well and good if that's what you believe will help but, from your tone, I doubt that you will put any faith in it anyway.
I've developed my own code:
I Am My Own God.
Basically what that means is that only *I* have the power to make my life what I wish it to be. I could wallow in self-misery (and believe me when I say that that has been a viable option in my life as well) or I could decide to turn my life around and make it better than what it is. No god controls my life. *I* control my life. You could do the same. All it takes is making a conscious decision to do so.

You ARE somebody. Now all you have to do is decide what you want that somebody to be. You have the power to do it. Don't let anyone take that away from you.

Triple Q (who hopes the dawn brightens your outlook)
