And I like the tension you have between protestant and catholic thought. You have a nice way of enticing our catholic brothers here to post more than they sometimes do, and that way we can all learn more about them :) Altimus mentioned about the God of the old testament being full of vengeance. I on the contrary get this view of him, in the Old Testament, of being the very benign and loving God you thought he was.
