Sheesh! I've always enjoyed seeing your posts on both BC and CBF. And I'd just like to say, thank you for seeking. I know how it feels to want to do nothing but God's work. A point in my life I was completely ready to be a youth pastor. I was getting training in college for it and what ever... And I don't know what you've been told... but my best advice for you and your search for God comes right from the bible. Jesus took a small child into his arms and told his disciples, "Unless you reduce yourself to being like a small child... having faith like this little one... Unless you do that, you will never ender the kingdom of heaven." And I KNOW you understand what it's like. Think of a boy you love. Think about how he loves you. About how he gives you this unconditional acceptance. Everything you tell him he clings to. Perhaps he talks like you. He wants to dress like you. He wants to do the things you do. That's what Jesus was trying to say. Unless you have faith like a child, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. This original sin is nothing we can understand. Just like the GRACE of God. I can't even fathom how he would send his son to die because of our stupid mistakes! I guess the idea of "original sin" is contained in Romans 3:23. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." And that's why we die. Romans 6:23 shows that because of the sin, our penalty is death. And I think we need to take that at face value. This original sin is NOT a spiritual death but simply a physical death. So that's what I see Original sin as. Our cause of our physical death. Hmmm... I hope I covered everything I want to... but I've got some IMs that won't go away so my message has been interupted. But Sheesh! I'd like to encourage you and thank you for caring. God Bless you!
