| i would've prolly laughed out loud!! strange how a woman can talk about a baby boy that way, but if we dare call a boy "beautiful" then we get suspicious looks. i remembered once telling a close female friend of mine about the trouble my pseudo-stepson was getting into with girls -- i said, "well, he's drop-dead gorgeous, that's why" and as soon as i said that i was scared that i had revealed too much about myself... but so what? what's so bad about a man saying that a particular boy is beautiful? a woman can say that a girl is gorgeous and no one questions whether she has sexual feelings toward the girl, but a man can't say a boy is gorgeous without someone becoming suspicious. true? strange. |
