Sure, I am SPIRITED. I have a lot of energy and live life at a fast, enjoyable pace. But that's really not being spiritual, as most people understand the term. I work very hard to be rational and NOT spiritual. I make decisions based on logic and facts - not on religion. In fact, if anyone were the opposite of spiritual, it would have to be me. If I find myself slipping into a superstitious frame of mind, I retreat as quickly as I am able and instead use my humanity to decide what I need to do. I believe in human beings not in spiritual forces - at all. I don't think they are real. And of course, the idea that gays are more likely to be harmed by sex than straights is an idea that FOD apparently gets from his spiritual side - not his rational one. It's a bigoted idea and one not supported by any facts I know about. If that's spirituality, I'll not be having it, thanks. Jim |
