I am not suggesting you are evil, and yes, Jesus didn't say "simon you can't be a fisherman and a christian" why? because you can! True one of his disciples was a tax collector, so what? What I mean by saying that you can't be a "boylover" or a homosexual and a christian at the sametime is that, pedophillia/homosexuality are sinful acts. As believers our sins have been forgiven, we have been washed, cleansed, sanctified and justified through Christ. We have become a "new creation in Christ" and as believers we are to live in the spirit not in the flesh. "Boylove" as with homosexuality, is part of living in the flesh, it is part of our sinful nature! We are commanded to live for christ, to live by the spirit and not the flesh. A practicing homosexual, pedophile or any other form of sinner, is not being true to Chrst if he/she continues to live in sin. He/she is NOT a true christian a real child of God, if they persist in sin, after having committed their lives to Christ. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I AM NOT SAYING THAT I AM WITHOUT SIN! Far from it, all have sinned and fallen short of the gloryt of God, even I know that. What I am saying is that, as a believer (a child of God) I no longer practice sin, I don't make a habit of willfully sinning. Yes, from time to time, I sin as we all do, but sin is not my master. If you practice homosexuality and pedophillia, your are sinning! No if your tempted, yet do not act upon that temptation, you are not sinning. We are all tempted, you can be tempted to be attracted to or desire a boy, that is not sin. But if you choose to act upon that temptation, that desire/attraction, whatever, then you sin! True, it is not by works that we are saved, yes nothing can snatch us from teh Fathers hands, but if we live by the flesh we are not in the Fathers hands are we? God does not accept sin, he cannot be in the presence of sin, thats why you cannot be a pedophile/homosexual or whatever, because it controdicts the truth of the Gospel. Im sorry if I have offened you, that wasn't what I set out to do. But let me just say that, change is possible, hope is possible, through Christ we can be restored to wholeness! |
