Immitators of Christ

As christians we are called to be immitators of Christ, our attitude is to be the same as that of Christ (Phil 2:5). And not seek to satisfy our sinful desires. Each of us need to learn to control his own body in such a way that is, holy & honorable to God, not in passionate lust (1The 4:4). Obviously, that is easier said then done, (believe me I know) but by the spirit and through faith, self-discipline and submission to God, we can do just that. Furthermore, we are called to "put off our old self" & "put on our new self". "You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desire; to put on the new self, created to be like God ..." (Eph 4:22-24). |
