"Do I understand what you are saying ?" Indeed I do, and I agree that there are many "christians" who believe that there is nothing wrong with being gay. The vast majority of these "christains" may I add, are gay thus, there arguement is questionable from the begining because they are more than likely, trying to justify their sinful acts. I agree that Jesus comes to our defence when we sin, my point was that, we can't expect him to do so, over and over again. If that is the case, then we have been given a "licence to sin" because Jesus "Will come to our defence each time". Surely, you don't believe that? The Lords love is NOT limited! Yes, nothing can seperate us from the Love of God. Again my point is, though Jesus will continue to love us because nothing can seperate us from his love. That DOES NOT grant us a licence to sin! When the day of Judgement will come, the Lord will remind us of those times that we mocked him, by saying, "cool, I can keep sinning, because Jesus will come to my defence each time regardless of what I do" And some of us will get quiet a suprise! Well thats my opinion anyway. "it is completely meaningless to talk about "continuing in sin" if what you are continuing is not, in fact, sin". I agree, the point is however, that the Bible CLEARLY teaches that homosexual acts are sinful and therefore, if one continues to engage in them, he/she is obviously continueing in sin, are they not? |
