For me, LOVING BOYS IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!

In one of Gideon's posts, he wrote something about some of us having been wounded as children, and this is one of the reasons we are interested in getting intimately involved in boys lives. For me, this is true. To some of you, I have mentioned some of my traumatic experiences, and clealy understand one of the reasons I am like I am. Gideon wrote in another posts: "I only wish to serve help and heal." My reply is that I have not found his information to be healing. Words are cheap, and actions do speak louder than words. I do believe God does bring people into our lives to help heal us. Is it possibility that there are instances when God brings a boy into our lives, so that we will take an active part in their lives and help heal a boy in need? In so doing, I believe some of us are also being healed. Love that can occur between a man and boy is a powerful and healing force. Unfortunately, there are some who want to scare, guilt, and shame you into not getting involved in a child's life. As I have written before, it appears America's new president was intensley loved by his father. However, millions of boys across the U. S. (and perhaps billions worldwide) have not been loved by a man in an intimate way. Some, who have NOT had an intimate relationship with a man during their childhood, hide this hurt by drinking, doing drugs, ect. Then, there are others, who choose to get involved in boys lives, to give a boy the intimacy he craves from a man, and in turn, the boy gives these "wounded" men something genuine in return. It is called love. That is, the love between a boy and man heals the wounds Gideon described in one of his posts! Unfortunately, much of society is scared of a man who has a desire to be intimate with a boy, a boy who so deperately needs the love from a man. So instead of the healing power of love, many men do not get involved. It is precisely the types of posts that Gideon has placed before you that helps to confirm Satan's grip on you that you are a perverted and sick individual. You are not. Indeed we are not perfect; no one is. However, God loves us despite the our imperfections and despite the internal and external forces surrounding us. Never give up on love! Some have. All they can do is speak words to codem those of us who are loving others, because their fear cannot allow themselves to be involved and make a diference in a boy's life. Sadly, they turn their backs on boys, and becuase of their non-involvment, a boy continues to cry tonight. Get involved! Indeed, most adults help to continue the cycle of abandoning boys in need. They are too busy or fear of involvement prevents them. Thus, when the boy becomes a man (like many of us in this group), he can choose alcohol, drugs, talking about love but not actively doing love, and other non-christian things, or the boy can grow into a "spiritual" man and love a boy. This love can heal the failures of other men who turned their back on boys because of a society who looks at men loving boys with skeptical eyes! People heal by getting involved.
