| This sounds sort of like the debate over virtuos (sp) pagans. Did Socrates go to heaven. He lived a life of virtue, but lived before Christ, and thus could not follow in his path. How about Moses, who also predated Christ. Dante condemed Socrates to limbo, along with unbaptised children. I'm not sure about Moses, Paridiso, was much harder to read, and much less interesting than the Inferno (Pergatorio was also tough sledding) |
