I know. I haven't gotten it out yet, as I have been doing some other reading that my friend Arvind suggested to me. Namely "Conversations with God" by Walsh (I highly recommend it for everybody here, and think it has helped me a great deal). However, when I break out my bible, I think the first book I have to read is that of Job. As I recall he had it worse than me.
Yes, two months ago, I had it made. i was living the American dream, a new 5000 sq foot house in the best subdivision in town, 3 loving kids, a job that gave me not only material rewards but intelectual stimulation, good people to go to work with, was not dangerous or require heavy lifting, even a small amount of fame (well that is putting it to strongly, but I did get quoted as an authority in the press and even make the occasional TV appearance). All that and I could still make it home by 6 pm every night to see my kids. What else could anyone want. I was blessed. Now all of that is in jepordy. Maybe I was not thankful enough for what I was given. As Joni Mitchell says "you don't know what you've got tell its gone".
