I may be seeming overly religious, but I believe this... A 70 year old woman who I visit very often encouraged me the other day. She said to me, "I was having a bad day. And my mind was running in a million directions. So what I did was I took a blanket. I went over to my favorite couch. I sat there, curled up in the blanket and said to the Lord, 'Father, I am crawling up in your lap. I'm putting my head on your chest and I'm going to cuddle with you. I am going to have those warm fuzzy feelings. And I'm going to feel your love.'" Have you ever tried that? Maybe you think that takes an overly active imagination. But I say it takes faith! Talk to God till you break yourself down into an 8 or 9 year old. I see your dream as gift from God. You realize you need that affection! And that's EXACLTY how God wants us to come to him. As a little child! To come to him and know that he'll put down EVERYTHING and we can crawl in his lap, cry on his shoulder, and cuddle with him. Amen Huck Finn "In Christ" |
