At the risk of inducing additional paranoia - two people in my church congregation have independently come to the conclusion that I was a BL and asked the pastors about it. Fortunately they dealt with it appropriately (they are aware that I am) and there was no further problem. The one who was identified to me was a woman in her late 20s, the other was 'male younger than that' - I still don't know precisely. The probability is that they drew their conclusion from my propensity to kick around with the teenagers after services rather than make the effort to talk to 'grown ups'. I can't say I've changed my habits - 'grown ups' are more boring.... A 14 year old told his mother that he was pleased I was joining the home group that met at his house. This was because of what a 15 year old told him about me from the time I spent with the 15 year old after services. To me that is evidence I'm of value to them. (Not that either of them are seriously 'cute'). 'Don't be conformed to the ways of the World" |
