of heaven are especially vivid and helpful for me; one of the best is in the Last Battle when the land of Narnia has been left 'beyond the doorway into time' and yet the children find that the land that they are in is actually still Narnia - with all the best bits preserved, but none of the pain and hurt.

Another image from that is 'The term is over - the holidays have begun' which might especially appeal to our younger readers :-)

But at the heart of it all is a sense that it is all the best aspects of this world, without all the worst. There will be friendship and remembering - but no fear of loss. There will be useful things to do - but without the frustration of the repetitive task. There will be joy and fun and good things rightly enjoyed.

I don't know if that makes a lot of sense to you. If you haven't read the CS Lewis's Narnia books and his Science Fiction / Fantasy trilogy 'Out of the Silent Planet, Prelandria, and That Hideous Strength', you really must; they give a better insight into Christianity in a wonderfully readable way than anything I know.
