Not to be too disagreeable, but these books claim to be authored by a spirit-being channeled through Walsch. A friend of mine lent me the first cassette, and I listened right up until the point where Mahatma Gandhi and Babe Ruth were invoked as two highly developed spiritual teachers. In the present tense, not in the past. I believe the appropriate word is anathema. Personally, I'd like to believe that Walsch is a charlatan, preying on the gullibility of moderns who want "spirituality" without any kind of embodied community. However, it is entirely possible that he believes he is accurately reporting Truth, in which case he has been taken in by an entity which can appear as "an angel of light." (Cf. 2 Corinthians 11:14) These books are poison, with just enough sugar-coating to entice people to swallow it. I strongly recommend you see about having your stomach pumped -- you're in very grave danger if you take these teachings seriously. Sincerely, Dirk |
