I believe that the failure of the church to live up to its commitment to the historic faith is a serious betrayal of the generations who have gone before; it is generally true that that the church is seldom damaged in the long term by persecution, but the damage that is done by heresy is horrendous.

You are, I believe, a Roman Catholic; so each Sunday you say the words 'I believe in God the Father Almighty'.

Am I missing something here?
