if that's keeping you from kidnapping a boy, I would rather you do it There's two views here; for some the picture is their stopping point, and does mean they go no further. The other is that the material encourages them on into behaviour that they wouldn't have otherwise considered, proves to be unsatisfying, and they go out and find a real human to do it to instead of just looking at the pictures. I suspect that both happen; the issue then is whether the number stopping at pictures who would then go further is greater than those who are encouraged to go further; I have NO idea whether one could begin to guess at that. Of course this argument applies to all even vaguely risky material!! |
