The first two nights there were a lot of empty seats but those who were there liked it and so the word spread and the last two nights were sold out. I think that people were frightend by the title and the fact that most of the manuscript consists of quotes from the bible. But the jokes and the great music(Im not just saying that because I played in the band) made people able to enjoy the play and to think about what they had heard. Im not really sure God liked!!!!! 7 or 8 of the actors(the orignal cast in Steven schwarz's version was 8 actors but we were about 60) got the flue(is that spelled the rigth way) the premiere night,but as good luck would have it some of they others learned their lines very fast so everything ended up being perfect. So i dont know if God tried to stop us or what it was(just kidding) |
