Violence and harm can come in sexual relationships regardless of who is involved in them. Indeed they can come in any type of relationships among people. Identifying these characteristics with marginal sexuality is in itself a disservice. Any time one person expects more of another than that person is capable of providing, frustration results. Enough frustration can lead to violence and harm. Perhaps it seems (or might even be) more likely with marginal sexualities is the higher degree of frustration and rejection we experience. ---Ford |
