An eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks. It flies to a lofty perch and waits as the winds build. When the storm strikes, the eagle sets its wings to allow the wind to raise it and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle soars high above it. It doesn't escape the storm; It simply uses the winds to rise above it. It rises and soars on the air currents that bring the storm.

When the storms of life assail us… and all of us will experience
them… we can rise above them by setting our hearts and our faith
toward God. We do not have to succumb to the storms of life. We can allow God's power to raise us far above them. God empowers us to rise, on wings of faith, above the storms that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment into our lives. We can soar on the wings of
faith.

The burdens of life cannot pull us down, if we allow God to lift us above them.
