David,

The Bible verse you offer is hardly proof of anything. It shows more what people were willing to leave behind and give up in their haste to avoid being captured with Jesus than anything else.

I quote from the RSV:

"And they all forsook him and fled. And a young man followed him, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body; and they seized him, but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked."

This passage occurs just after the soldiers arrested Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and all his friends and followers fled to avoid capture. The young man tried to follow at first, but, faced with capture, he used any means necessary, even leaving his clothes behind, to escape. It shows how all Jesus' friends deserted him in his final hours.

I have trouble believing that you are advocating that because the young man ran away naked that that "proves" that Jesus was a boylover.

Also, it is vauge as to what you mean by "The vocation of the modern boylover is liberation." Liberation from what? From sexual mores? From social stigma? From repressed sex drives? Just because one has the desire to have sex with a boy does not make it right. People have desires (dare I say lusts) for many things that are not good. Some people have an overpowering desire to kill. However, I don't think anyone would advocate that they should be allowed to "liberate" themselves from their repressed desire for murder.

It may be our "duty" to provide a good example for boys, yes, but I don't really see where your philosophy of liberation fits in.
