various flip comments went through my mind - 'Takes one to know one' as a possible repost - probably true but not helpful in the circumstances; 'it could have been that you were a BL, not just gay' - but then I remembered where you are, which is probably 25 years behind the views of the rest of the Western world.... so it's probably on a level.... 'been there, got the scars' - true but unhelpful. I'm only pleased that we are people whom you CAN share this with; and to some slight extent share the burden. It is horrible when it happens - no two ways about it. I hope that the last couple of months of term are not too catastrophic, and you find some things to enjoy in life. |
