From Chris...

This is an excerpt from a letter I received from Chris a few days ago. He wanted me to let you all know that he still loves you all, and that you are constantly and consistently in his prayers. I talked with him by 'phone yesterday, and he wanted me to post something here so that you would know that he is still holding steadfast to his faith in God.

Andy, I have no idea what is going to happen to me. But I have courage through the Holy Spirit. I know His love is with you, as well!

I see Jesus in you very clearly, brother! And I can see Jesus in Mark big time. And our other brothers "out there" are also becoming like Him! Zip, Dirk Gently, Bach, Jules, Ford Prefect, Compassion, F.O.D., BLues, Cherub… everyone!! (I know I missed some… ) All of these brothers are in my "letters" scrapbook. And of course, they are all in my heart.

I'm praying for CBLF big time, but may God's will be done! Andy, please keep on writing these folks and try to stay in contact with them and help keep our brotherhood alive. Believe me, that is a great and Holy service to God! It is one I wish I could do… but for now I must still write by hand. Please let them know that my love for them grows every day and I really miss them as well!

Tell them that if I have to go to jail, or even prison, for my beliefs… I will do so with joy in Christ and faith in His presence in our "little band of brothers".

This world can't believe that God can have children like us, but that cannot stop us from proclaiming His Gospel! It won't stop me. My faith is in His Word!

Things could very well get difficult for all of God's children now. But I just keep Moses in mind, leading the children of God through the desert for forty long, hard years. I keep David in mind, how his faith in God enabled him to slay Goliath. How many great men and women are there in the Old Testament alone? And then the men of great faith of the New Testament. What did they all have in common? Great faith and love for God. Paul tells us how to have this faith and love in Romans 13:8-14.

Andy, it actually fills my heart with joy to suffer for Christ's sake. Because it brings this scripture to life… "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."! (2 Cor 12:10)

Chris was so thankful when I told him that CBLF was back up, and wanted me to post something for him to let you all know that he is still keeping his faith in God, and love for you, and all His children.
Andy
