That burns so brightly! Isn't that what you see in so many kids? As I was at camp last week, I was able to see a flame lit by the Lord! A kid was very interested in Revelation and the whole idea of spirits and witchcraft. But at the same time he was freaked out beyond all belief! Anyway, he was the boy who the other kids went to when they didn't understand something about the bible. But this week it was his turn to ask all the questions. We went out on an hour long mid-night talk (actually it was 1:00 AM). The next few days went through and then he started asking really big questions. Nothing that the Lord didn't help me answer. But he was so scared at the time. He said in the midst of his spiritual world questioning "I sense that there's one question I can't figure out that will help me understand all the others." Now this boy just turned 12. I felt as though that was the Lord telling me, "Tell him about his salvation I offer him." I shared with him Revelation 3:20. Basically it is a verse where Jesus says, "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone opens the door, I will eat with him and he will eat with me!" I asked the boy if he had ever asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins. It's not what you know or what you do believing in year heart and confessing with your mouth that secures your salvation. (Romans 10:9-10) Well, the boy said, "No I haven't." I asked, "Do you feel like you would like to right now?" He replied yes. Well, when he prayed to ask the Lord into his life and cleanse his sins, he said a beautiful prayer that I was very shocked could come out of a twelve year old's heart. But he said in the midst of this prayer, "Jesus, I've heard you knocking at my heart so many times. And for so long, I've told you no. But today, right now, I ask you to come into my heart. Come into my life. And live through me." A FLAME was lit in HIS life. In HIS eyes. Praise the Lord. The flamers can get us here... but we can help get flames lit throughout the world! Amen? AMEN!
