I don't mind you using a different nick. Sometimes it has to be done, I suppose. I believe it is important to be able to have time for ourselves. I mean, we put pressures on ourselves, saying "I've got to be serving". But the Bible says you have to love your neighbour, yes!, as you love yourself. There has to be balance. You can't provide any service to the kingdom of God if you're dead. So take a holiday, if you need it. I remember how even Jesus, with all the time he spent around the crowds, teaching them and healing them and caring about them, but even so, from time to time even he would take time off, go alone into the hills to have time just between him and the Father. It is nice to have people listen to you, they do it so rarely, don't they? Don't be afraid to tell them you need a break. Maybe that'll help them to realise and to become aware they you've got needs they can help you with too? Fod |
