The whole idea of defending ourselves the whole orientation to reacting the whole way of NEGATIVITY in mindsets like Ford stated: create an awareness of the ordinary person that they're just as related to murderers and rapists and, indeed, to us as they are to anyone else. There definitely needs to be a paradigm shift, but I don't see the shift you guys are talking about to be deep and rewarding enough. This reminds me of an essay I stumbled onto not long ago, entitled "Desire or Guilt". It was composed for a community oriented to environmental protection, yet the lessons of the article may be widely applied. Shall I type up the most insightful parts? I can post the whole thing, also, if someone would like. I see the issue of "Guilt" being an orientation foremost in our macro community (which of course is natuaral due the state of affairs of our communities), beyond CBLF. Thus we are oriented to defending ourselves as victims only, instead of playing to broaden our potential as going on the offensive about our extremely important connections with the young. |
