Collin, I have not posted here before, however I felt compelled to reply to your Post. I can only say that I agree with everything you have to say as I have seen God work in my heart and my life. I have learned that God has a plan for my life, perhaps all these feelings for children are some sort of trail. I do not claim to know. I do know that God does not ever give us things we cannot handle in life. I also know that Satan is ever waiting for us to slip up and will try and trap us with temptation. The devil strikes at the soft underbelly of the weak, the moral is stay strong and have faith that God will always be there. The Bible tells us that God will never forsake us, He hears our every prayer sometimes the answer is "not Yet" when we ask for him to take this burden away. Perhaps the thing we ask should be for God to make us stronger and more able to resist the temtious thoughts and feelings. I am now in a place in my life where I am more comfortable with my ability to controll my thought and feelings than ever. When I find myself begining to think about a child in a sexual way I immediatly begin to pray to God to take the temtation away and to protect me from the attack that these thoughts represent. God does not put these thoughts in our heads. However he can give us what it takes to remove them. "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" -1 Peter 5:8 God gave us all free will, no-one ever said doing the right thing would be easy. I recently took a small group of girls on a camping trip. They aged from 8-13. I am proud to say that I was able to controll my every action, behavior and even my thoughts, With Prayer. God never leaves us alone although sometimes we leave God alone. In Matthew 6:33 God tells us to seek him first, only then will we recieve his blessings. We must make this a habit. only then can we see the results of the Love God has for even us. May Peace and Joy follow you wherever you go... God Bless Pete |
