"Have you ever thought about death?" And his brother immediately yells "Feck Off!" What got me laughing was Jamie's response to that rude assault: "hmmm... Nigh-night, then." Haha! It was just one more situation that showed how much Jamie was different from the expectations of his family. How he did not belong in the life of a coal miner. How he was so much more sensitive and compassionate than they had raised him to be. Do you remember when the dad went back to the mine, and the older son stopped him? I didn't catch it until last night, but he says, "It's our wee Billy. He just may be a feckin genius!" Hmmm, yes. There were many parts that made me begin to cry. I didn't notice that so much the first time, but last night WT was stretched out on the sofa with his head on my belly. Every now and then his head would start bouncing and it made me aware that I was sobbing. I still can't cry for myself, but I really do enjoy it when I can get a little out. WT didn't say a word. I bet he has never had someone cry as they held him before. He did say that he really liked the movie. You know what I think was the best part? I call it the "Frustration Dance" - when his brother said "Dance!" and his teacher said "Don't you dare!" and Billy was caught in the middle. He went outside so angry, and he couldn't help himself! He had to dance! That part makes me laugh and cry at the same time! I don't think I have ever felt that before. WT said, "He danced until it snowed." Yeah. Hey, I can tell from the way other folks have responded to your old posts that you have some support here. What I did was work it up in a text editor until I was ready to post. That's why it reads like a short story instead of a post, but oh well - its not meant to be a published work, its just for me. Didn't you say your first acting class was Monday? How did it go?
