Let me be very specific in how I respond, since you were very specific in your own response. Let me know if I loose my train of thought.

First, I can accept any basis that holds true to life. For if our reality isn't the ultimate test of our morality then it's all chalked up to foolishness. I can and shall accept the Bible as an absolute moral authority if it can be proven that it is worthy of such a standard.

Second, any source of authority, if you've correctly established it, could alter my opinions from what I presently believe. It is important to note I'm not making any counter-claims about other sources of ultimate moral authority in the Christian faith. So I suppose to answer your last question it would be the task of one who does in fact make such claims to support why their claim is a superior source to choose over the Bible. In your example that would be yourself.

You seem to be making the assumption I have a deeper agenda, to prove there is yet another source of complete moral authority better suited than the Bible. You may be correct, but that is a discussion that should ensue after the topic I've already brought up has run its coarse. Until then I feel I'd like to keep the topic focused on what's at hand. There's more than enough material to cover already.

You're right it is quite late and I'm off to bed. If I've made any mistakes I'll correct myself in the morning. Good night and God bless.

Dive deep, seek peace, love forever,
Collin Maxwell
