I think there is a passage in Revelation that says something like "nobody shall add or remove one iota from this work" - it's not clear whether "this work" is John's Revelation or the entire Bible. Ironicly, the canon was in a state of flux until about A.D.300 or so, and the Apochropha was removed for the Protestants during the Reformation.

You may find similar statements in other Bible-literalist denominations.
