Or, for JohnQ, ? ????????. Looks like it's time we sent our pastor off on sabbatical back to Bible College... ;) For extra credit, can anyone explain why the et filioque controversy actually matters? I can see why the theotokos issue is important. Still, it reminds me of a good joke.... An evangelical preacher died and found himself in heaven, face to face with the Lord Jesus. "I've been waiting for you", said Jesus. "Come, welcome in to the Kingdom of my Father." Jesus brought him in and introduced him to the other saints who came before him. Moses was there, the apostle John, Paul (the preacher's hero), many others. "Oh, and here's someone I don't believe you know, " said Jesus.
