| if only we could somehow let them see and feel the things we did when we watched them grow up... i think that's why they can't really appreciate all we've done for them until they have children of their own. wonderful poem, by the way! why do they have to grow up and lose that innocence we once knew? my 17-year old YF is a completely different person than when he was 10 years old. wouldn't even know he was the same person except for the rare times he laughs the same laugh he had as a child and gives me the look that Nate was talking about. at least i still have the memories... wonderful memories!! |
