the apostles chose to preach despite being instructed by those in authority not to do so - so you have good grounds for rejecting the right of the state to restrict your freedom of religion. On the other hand these are vulnerable and easily led kids - it would be easy for them to be 'converted' as a result of the strength of your personality, rather than because of a genuine work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. I would therefore say that here FOD is absolutely right - you are better off being gently known as a Christian and planting seeds may in years ahead lead to them taking the gospel seriously because they met a Christian who really loved them than rushing into preaching. To extend the metaphor - to bring them to birth without being able to provide for their infant years is irresponsible behaviour on the part of many parents, and is similarly questionable for Christians.....
