... I don't care what your sacred writings say. I don't subscribe to your religious beliefs. They are irrelevant to me. Second, I don't care if you believe that a god will "judge" you or a nation because of homosexuality. But I care very much if such an insane and moronic viewpoint is allowed to be used to deny me the same rights as anyone else. That anyone could even entertain such a ridiculous idea - well, words fail me. We human beings take and give privilages and rights to one anoher based on how we order our societies. My point is that Christianity has tried to take away rights based on their own beliefs - whether the people they are taking those rights from believe the same thing or not. Enough. Worship however you like but leave me and my loved ones the fuck alone. My rights do not come from your or from any god. I have (or ought to have) the same ones as anyone else. Now if we could just get Christians to stop conspiring to take them away. |
