'Jesus Seminar' is a bunch of modern theologians finding in the bible exactly what conforms to the beliefs of late 20th century liberals As opposed, I suppose, to a bunch of 19th century conservatives? If the "Seminar" is wrong, Forgive, please show your evidence to support that, rather than labelling them just a bunch of "liberals." And the fact that the Gospel of Mary is not canonical is just the point. The Bible, as we know it today, is a historical contruct of the Church Fathers, who picked and chose out of the available material to build a text that supported the positions they wanted supported--such as the centuries long subjection of women.
