Then if all rights just flow from the legislature, which in the best of circumstances just reflects the feeling of the majority of the population,(in the worst of circumstances it reflects who has the most guns) then you should have no problem with discrimination against gays, if that is what the legislature wants. The law is the law, and it doesn't matter what the law is, just so long as it is the law.
On the other hand if you belive as I do(and Jefferson did), that people are endowed by their creator with certian unalienable rights, including the rights to life, liberty and the persuit of happiness, then you have a moral ground on which to base your opposition to discrimination.
