I guess it is worth saying that we've got more than a bit distracted in recent weeks from the reason for this board - so it's talked a lot about other things and rather little about being BLs!! Which is kinda fun for those of us who are regulars, but perhaps not so helpful for any new arrivals.... So - to be clear - most of the posters on this board combine a Christian faith (of almost any sort) with an attraction to boys; a fairly wide definition of that term, even up to 20 years olds. We tend to use the term Age of Attraction (AoA) to define the range of boys that we find especially attractive. Some of us are also attracted to women of our own age, some aren't. There is a general belief that sexual contact with boys is wrong, though it is not 100%. Some of us have specific young friends (YFs) with whom we have an especially close relationship; some don't. Some are out as BLs to a people in real life, others have never told anyone around them.... To fill in the gaps for me - I'm a fairly conservative Evangelical, with a YF who is 20 and who has a girl friend. We've been close for about 4 years; he knows I'm a BL, and his only concern is that the boundary is appropriately defined, which makes things really positive for me, as I really DON'T want the relationship to become sexualised. I have NO appreciation of women sexually, and am known as a BL to a number of members of my church. As a result of this board I've met a number of other contributors to the board IRL, and it has been a major source of encouragement and strength over the past 22 or so months that I've been around. I especially value the emails that I exchange with a number of people I've got to know here. So for me it has been a GOOD place to be; I hope that you find it an equal encouragement. |
