Your brother, I mean. Do you have a good relationship with him? Does he trust you? Families differ. I couldn't never be completely honest with my brother. He'd freak out, or tell me scornfully I need to repent. But in other families your brother can be your best friend. Maybe he'll be completely cool about you and your feelings? I read this piece of gay fiction once. It had the hero, a young male, caught in a sexual relationship with his boyfriend. This was set in England before law reform, when gay relationships under 21 were still illegal. Police got involved, the fellow's parents had to be informed. The scene I'm thinking of when the parents had to tell the young man's younger brother that he was in trouble. The boy's reaction was, "What, you mean he's gay? So what's the fuss all about?" A cute story, only a piece of fiction, but I could imagine it happening in real life. Anyway, your brother is not your mother. She might freak out over thinking you're gay, it doesn't mean he will too. Even if he knows you like someone his own age. Maybe he'll just use it to laugh at you. "My brother is dating someone younger than his little brother!" Why don't you invite the two of them so you can all hang out together?
