Hi Again, I am back with the rest of my message. Like I said, doing this in a public library is not the best way in the world, but oh well...I praise God I can at least do this! Here is the rest of it.... When this happened with L., boy did I get upset and depressed! I thought our relationship was over forever. It really tore me up because we had always been so close and loved each other so much. It just didn't make sense to me at all. I'll tell you what, Splash!...Andy, being the the friend that he is, tried long and hard to convince me that this distance between L. and I would end. And so did other BL friends of mine, God Bless them! But I still had a very difficult time trying to believe them. I guess it always seems unique to the person who is going through it at the time. It turned out, however, that they were right after all! L. did get through that period of growth, if you will, and eventually we rebuilt our friendship into one that was even stronger, albeit a little differant, than before. The major differance was in the way we showed each other affection. L. wasn't really too keen on hugs or sitting on my lap anymore. I thank God for the sitting on the lap part...he is big enough to break my legs with shear weight now...ha ha ha! I do not mean to make light of your situation, but I hope that my levity is at least some proof that your relationship with your young friend WILL survive this brief period of time, and I believe you will both have a much stronger and greater friendship because of it!!! Just remember to keep praying for him durring all this and pray for yourself as well. He will return to you....he loves you! Oh, have you ever considered perhaps getting my real-life phone no. or address from Andy? I would be honored to have you call me or write me some time, brother! Love in Christ Jesus, Chris |
