Hi, I am new to this board, so no one here will know me. However, I have been part of the online BL community for several years. I stumbled upon this page accidentally, and then debated for quite awhile about posting. I have come looking for answers and some support. I am a young adult university student and have been a BL'er since at least junior high. Of course, like most young BL'ers I had a confused and tortured adolescence. What has really complicated my life is the fact that my father is a protestant minister, and a rather homophobic one at that. I have never lost my faith, though, and continue to be a regular church goer. Like many BL'ers I encounter, I am confused, frustrated, angry, and wracked by guilt. I am very religious, but it seems religion conflicts with my character (which I cannot change no matter how hard I try). Add to that the guilt I experience when I find myself thinking about boys while attending church. I thought, perhaps, this might be a good place to stop by occasionally. I would like to say I will be a frequent poster, but school keeps me extremely busy, so I have very little free time. Well, thanks for providing me with a voice. Take care, Thomas |
