You're right to watch out for the rednecks! Some folks just believe everything they hear in the news. I have never been abused and I still get turned by a cute boy... so I am not sure whether your childhood experiences have anything to do with it or not. It's hardly surprising that you feel guilt and shame - that's what society teaches us - basically that we're monsters! It isn't true, you know. A child lover (or MAA) can control his feelings just as well as anyone else. I have never had sexual contact with a boy, and I don't plan to. The consequences are very damaging, both to myself and the boy. It sounds like your cousin cares about you an awful lot. When I told my cousin about my attraction he was very supportive. In fact, from time to time he even posts here to Christian Boylove Forum. I have told several people close to me about my struggle, and I feel that they have accepted me without having to feel like they have to call the police! It may be important for your cousin to have someone to talk to about these issues... they aren't easy, and I'm sure that keeping it all inside is difficult. (but then, you know about that).
