Hi, Samiel. Welcome to CBF. I'm glad you found us.

I'm not one for giving advice, but here are my thoughts. I wouldn't come out to someone just because other people have done it. I've only come out to one person in real life: my pastor at my former church. It is good to have someone that you can be honest with, and who still sees you as fully human and just like other people, and who trusts you. But the risks have to be considered too. Coming out to the wrong person could result in suspicion, false charges, control by other people. Fortunately, I found someone who I felt it was safe to come out to, because he is rather unconventional in his perspective.

Also, I wouldn't come out by saying I "have a 'problem'" with 'perverse' sexual desires." In fact, I think we usually use the word "perverse" to describe something we're afraid of and don't understand. I don't think my sexual feelings are perverse; they are of the same quality as straight people's, but just directed toward boys instead of women. As a result, of course, they are more problematic in our society, which has defined them as "sick" or "evil." I just don't buy that definition.

Mark
