Depending on who this person is, this may or may not be a good idea. But sometimes people like to dehumanise the people they fear. The only way to avoid that happening is to give them the chance to get to know you as a person. Would there therefore be any possibility of inviting this person to meet you face-to-face, so they can get to know you for yourself? Then maybe they can see they don't have to be afraid when you're hanging out with your YF. (hell, you could introduce them to your YF to if he wants to ;) ). If they truly do have a sincere and honest concern for you and the boys, then maybe this could be a good thing. You wouldn't have to worry about compromising your identity - not if they already know who you are! Only let them approach you to make contact in person, since they say they already know who you are.
