I was trying to express the finality of things. How what I once aspired to I have now put to rest. You opened up the door to using other languages when you started in with the Spanish shit. Did I get a calling? Well there was no specific moment when God slapped me on the arse and said "Get thee to a seminary." I thought about being a priest cause it seemed like a good path to take at the time. Did I not become a priest because of the disaprooval of others or because I grew out of the aspiration? Well in hind sight it was probably a combination of the two. I think every little Catholic boy wants to grow up to be a priest at one time in his life. It's a very romanticized vocation. What's the right stuff? There are alot of qualities a good priest must have. Many of which I do not possess. I am sensitive but that is not all that would be required of me. Their is alot of self deprivation involved. I would be leading a life drastically different from the one I am leading now and I fear I don't have the brass balls for it. Just cause I have the name of an angel doesn't mean I am one. Cheers Gabe |
